Feminist Bird Club 2025 Patch
The patch bird this year is arguably the cutest owl in the United States, the Northern Saw-whet Owl - as chosen in our first ever bird-bracket. The illustration for the patch was done by Alex Tomlinson, an illustrator whose work includes many of the amazing infographics in National Audubon Society’s magazine and the new logo for the Chicago Ornithological Society. You can learn more about his work on his website, https://alextomlinson.com/.
This year we will be donating 100% of our 2025 patch proceeds, with 50% going to HEAL Palestine and the other 50% to the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) who are currently fundraising to support immigrant workers affected by the L.A. fires. Our hearts go out to Feminist Bird Club LA members, their communities and everyone else who are impacted by the fires and we are here to provide whatever support we can.
Donations to NDLON provide shelter, food, and safety to those affected by the fires, and sustain their volunteer fire brigade to do cleanup and restoration work. They are consistently fundraising to support legal defense, community organizing and public advocacy for the many millions of families who will be the targets of the incoming administration. You can find their website here, where you can also donate directly.
HEAL Palestine is addressing the urgent medical needs of injured and sick children in Palestine, providing health services, aid and education. They have partnered with Anera, the organization we are donating 2024 patch proceeds to, and we are dedicated to continuing to support the people of Palestine through our donations. You can donate to them directly here.
Due to non-profit donation limitations, we are required to donate to NGOs registered in the U.S. but we continue to ask that you consider contributing to mutual aid and direct donations in Palestine, L.A. and everywhere in between.
Patches measure 3 inches in diameter.
Patches are Iron-on, but to insure a firm grip, we recommend sewing or pinning your patch.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for your patch to be shipped and double check your address and make sure you have included all apartment numbers in your shipping address where applicable.
Patches are shipped from the US - so if you are outside the US be sure to choose the international shipping option!
