This event will prioritize creating a gentle community space where we can mindfully recognize the toll the recent news cycle has taken on us.
We will also encourage folks to contemplate the meaning of resistance, and center gratitude, innovation and compassion as a way to enact change.
About the film: Palestinian protest against Israeli occupation has taken many forms in the past seven decades. In his own form of dissent, artist @khaledJarrar designs postage and passport stamps for the State of Palestine, using the Palestine Sunbird as the motif. This Al Jazeera World film focuses on Jarrar as he achieves major breakthroughs after having his work being repeatedly censored and turned away by governments and postal systems across the world. This is one man's story of a peaceful Palestinian protest - a creative yet provocative way of promoting the Palestinian cause across the world. [adapted from YouTube caption by Al Jazeera English]
