Virtual - Online Workshop and Craft Night with Toronto FBC: Engaging Bystanders, Creating a Respectful Community

Join the Toronto FBC for an online workshop and craft night! After a year-and-a-bit of pandemic lockdown, opening up is an exercise in navigating boundaries.

COVID made a lot of us reconsider our boundaries and evaluations of our own safety and the safety of others. For some people, navigating safety from other people was a new experience. For others, the process of evaluating and navigating their safety is--unfortunately--familiar.

This workshop includes a presentation on creating safer communities by understanding consent and how to be an engaged bystander. We’ll talk about making the safety of individuals--and birds--a community undertaking. While we’re at it, we’ll be doing a zine making activity - have a piece of paper and pens & pencils ready to go.
