What to Bring: If you bring personal belongings, please bring a backpack so you can pick up trash hands-free. Dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes, and long pants. This event will go on rain or shine, so bring a waterproof jacket if the forecast calls for rain.
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests. FBC has extra binoculars.
Free parking is available in the park and nearby streets.
Transit: Trimet #75 bus line stops nearby; get off at the NE Columbia Blvd. and NE 47th stop and walk 6 minutes to the park.
Restrooms will be available in the park.
Accessibility notes, as per Birdability Map:
Accessibility rating = 4/5. There is an accessible parking place, which does not have room for a ramp. Curb cuts are present to move from parking lot to trail or sidewalk. Parking surface is paved. Ramp slopes are perfect; for every inch the ramp rises, it extends out 12 inches (1:12 ratio). Accessible portable restrooms are available. Trail surface is loose crushed stone/gravel. Trail slopes are manageable; they follow the 1:20 ratio. There are no benches along the trail or on the dock, but there is seating in the pagoda.
