It’s finally Weird Duck Season in NYC again!
Join Haley Scott and NYC Park Rangers for a winter waterfowl walk at Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx on Sunday December 4th from 1pm-2pm!We will be meeting at the Van Cortlandt Park Nature Center at 1pm and walking around the lake to scope out the waters for mergansers, shovelers, coots, grebes, luxury geese and more!!This event is FREE!!! So come on out and bring a friend along too! No birding experience necessary!Bringing your own binoculars is recommended, but loaner pairs will also be available.Accessibility Notes: We will be on both paved and gravel trails, with some large rocks and large tree roots. Free parking is available near Van Cortlandt Golf House. Van Cortlandt Park Nature Center is located near the last stop of the 1 train line going uptown.
