NYC- Gullentine's Day

Grab your binoculars, some warm winter clothes, and maybe a friend, and join us along the Brooklyn waterfront to check out gulls! gulls! gulls! on Gullentine’s Day!

Seasoned FBC guide and dedicated gull enthusiast Ryan Mandelbaum will be helping us find and identify members of this most underappreciated bird family. Come learn how to ID winter-plumaged Herring, Ring-billed, and Great Black-backed Gulls! If we’re lucky, we might get a rare Iceland Gull or Black-headed Gull. And while gulls will be our focus, New York Harbor also has lots of weird winter ducks, visiting Great Cormorants, and maybe even a seal or two!
