Join the Feminist Bird Club and Bird Collective as we come together to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day. Whether you have just a short while or want to spend the entire morning, join us in spotting the various bird species that visit Brooklyn's Prospect Park.
This event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow bird lovers, celebrate the beauty of migratory birds, and support the Feminist Bird Club's mission.
This event is for all ages and experience levels. All are welcome!
LOCATION
Brooklyn's Prospect Park - Breeze Hill
Breeze Hill is a less than a quarter mile walk from the entrance at Lincoln Road & Ocean Avenue. The path is paved, and there is a slight incline to reach Breeze Hill.
Once you enter at Lincoln Rd, walk straight and cross the main jogging/biking loop called East Drive. Once you cross East Drive, continue following the road (Well House Drive) that turns right. Soon after, you will reach an open parking lot and that is Breeze Hill.
There are accessible public bathrooms located at the Lincoln Rd. entrance to the park.
Closest Subway is the Q train at Prospect Park.
WHAT TO BRING
Feel free to bring your own blankets, chairs, and snacks for a comfortable birding experience. There's a limited amount of picnic table seating available, and some binoculars to loan.
