Join Madison's chapter of the Feminist Bird Club for a birding social and night walk! Listen for owls with us in the dark.
More information and RSVP (required) here! Have you ever wanted to go birding after dark, but didn't feel safe exploring the woods alone? Do you like owls? If you answered yes to either of these questions, our Halloween Hoot-enanny is for you!
Join us on Friday, October 29th from 7pm to 9pm for a birding social and night walk at Hoyt Park. We'll start with a social gathering where you can get to know your fellow FBC members over hot cocoa and treats! We'll talk about what owls you can find in our area and learn about best practices for safe, ethical owling.
Then, we'll walk a loop through Hoyt Park while we listen for Hoyt's resident owls. We'll be walking on a wide path that will be easy to traverse in the dark. Our leaders will be prepared with flashlights for safety.
