Join Feminist Bird Club members as we celebrate October Big Day! Everyone is welcome, no birding experience necessary.
Join us on Saturday, October 8 from 9am to 11am as we search for birds at Turville Point Conservation Park, a great spot along the shore of Lake Monona. We love this spot because of its variety of habitats, from prairie to woodlands to beautiful shoreline. We'll look for lingering warblers, fall sparrows, and check the lake for migrating waterfowl.
This Saturday event also marks October Big Day, a day during fall migration where birders worldwide submit their bird sightings to eBird. Join us to see what new fall arrivals we can find! This is a great event to attend if you're curious about using eBird, as we'll share some eBirding tips and advice as we bird.
Whether you are just getting started birding or have years of experience, everyone is welcome!
RSVP is required so we can make sure our trip leaders can accommodate everyone.
