Join us for a morning wander around RSPB Sandy to spot the first visitors and signs of spring and for a chance to meet other nature and bird lovers. Everyone is welcome, no matter your bird knowledge—this space is for anyone with a passion for nature and wildlife.

You don’t need to bring anything with you, but of course feel free to bring cameras and binoculars if you have them. And please do check the weather beforehand and wrap up warm if needed as we’ll be outdoors for the majority of the time.

How to get there

The nearest station is Sandy, on the King's Cross to Peterborough main line, 0.9 miles (1.4 km) from the reserve entrance. From the station car park, turn right towards the Potton road. The following transport lines have routes that pass near Sandy RSPB. Bus: 190, 72, 73. Train: THAMESLINK.

Accessibility at RSPB Sandy

The accessible toilets and picnic area are at ground level, and the ground-floor Gatehouse shop is accessed by a short ramp. There is disabled parking near to the hide, and in the Gatehouse car park.
