Madison, WI - Birding at the UW-Madison Arboretum

  • UW-Madison Arboretum Visitor Center Parking Lot 1207 Seminole Highway Madison, WI, 53711 United States (map)

Come explore the UW Arboretum with us! This is one of our favorite places for winter birding. Whether you are just getting started birding or have years of experience, all levels are welcome. We'll meet near the Visitor Center at 10:00am on Saturday, February 20th.

We ask that you RSVP as “Going” on our Facebook event page or send us an email if you aren't on Facebook, so we know how many people to expect. Once everyone arrives, we'll break into smaller groups of no more than five people and bird throughout the Arboretum.

Masks are required and social distancing measures will be followed. Please plan on dressing for the weather. We will be walking on snow-covered trails that are unpaved (with occasional boardwalks), on terrain that is mostly flat or gently rolling. Trails may be icy or snow covered considering our recent weather. If you need to borrow binoculars for this event, please email us at least two days in advance. Thank you!
