Birding at Westview Cemetery with FBC Atlanta

When: Sunday, February 25th, 2024 - 9:30am Meet & Greet, 10:00am Let the Birding begin!
Where: Westview Cemetery 1680 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 (Visitor Information: http://www.westviewcemetery.com/visitor-information.html)

Meet in the parking lot behind the big stone building (with the archway and bell tower) on Abernathy at Westview Drive. Keep right after the main entrance and you should see the stone building. There are no restrooms available on site, but there are some at the gas station across the street.


Parking: We have permission to park in the parking lots inside of the cemetery. There is also street parking outside of the entrance.
Route: paved path 2.5 hours, approx 1.5~ miles


What to bring: Layers for cold weather, comfortable walking shoes, water, snacks, mask*, binoculars (but we have plenty to lend), & guidebook (if you have them). *As COVID and RSV cases are prevalent, we ask all attendees to please mask up!*


Who are we? A birding club located in Metro Atlanta dedicated to promoting inclusivity in birding while fundraising and providing a safe opportunity for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, BIPOC, and women to connect with the natural world.
